History, Mission & Vision
“A library is a portal to an endless journey”
History with a Vision for the Future
Frederick University Library was established to support the University’s educational and research mission from its very first steps as an academic institution. From the beginning, Library has not merely been a space for storing books but the vibrant intellectual hub of the University’s academic community.
Over the years, the Library has evolved into a modern, dynamic environment of knowledge and creativity. It provides access to a wide range of print and electronic resources, actively supporting learning and research at all levels and across all disciplines.
In step with the rapid and transformative developments in information technology, Library continuously enriches its collections and services – from printed books and scientific journals to databases, digital tools and personalized support. It is where tradition meets innovation and knowledge becomes accessible with just a <click>.
Today, Frederick University Library is not just a destination – it is the starting point of every academic journey.
“Our Library is not just a destination; it is a starting point.”

The mission of the Frederick University Library is to support teaching, learning and research by providing high-quality information resources and services. Our goal is to facilitate and enhance access to knowledge, promote information literacy among students, and support the research endeavours of academic staff.
- - It is to inspire.
- - To be a companion on the journey of knowledge.
- - To create a space – both physical and digital – where ideas do not rest, but thrive.
