History with a Vision for the Future

Frederick University Library was established to support the University’s educational and research mission from its very first steps as an academic institution. From the beginning, Library has not merely been a space for storing books but the vibrant intellectual hub of the University’s academic community.

Over the years, the Library has evolved into a modern, dynamic environment of knowledge and creativity. It provides access to a wide range of print and electronic resources, actively supporting learning and research at all levels and across all disciplines.

In step with the rapid and transformative developments in information technology, Library continuously enriches its collections and services – from printed books and scientific journals to databases, digital tools and personalized support. Our Mission

The mission of the Frederick University Library is to support teaching, learning and research by providing high-quality information resources and services. Our goal is to facilitate and enhance access to knowledge, promote information literacy among students, and support the research endeavours of academic staff.

But for us, the mission goes even further.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a space where students and faculty have easy access to the knowledge and information they need. We aim not only to support learning and research but also to encourage creativity, helping every member of our community discover new ideas and grow through them.
We envision a library without boundaries. A library that walks alongside its students – in their coursework and in their research. A space, both physical and digital, that fosters critical thinking, exploration, and the creation of new knowledge.
