Dr. Emmanouil Papadopoulos

Dr. Emmanuel Papadopoulos, is an Associate Professor and coordinator of the BSc Physiotherapy program, Department of Life and Health Sciences, School of Health Sciences, at Frederick University, Limassol, Cyprus, while he is also the coordinator of two courses in the Distance Learning Master's Program "Sports Exercise and Health Sciences". He holds a degree in Physiotherapy (1989) from the University of Southampton (1989), an MSc in Rehabilitation from the University of Southampton (1994) and a PhD in Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine (2006) from the National and Aspidistra University of Athens. He has been a permanent physiotherapist and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy at the General Hospital of Athens Evangelismos since 1999, with a rich clinical, educational and scientific background. He has a significant number of scientific publications, in peer reviewed international journals, with numerous citations. He is the author of a rehabilitation book and many chapters in medical and physiotherapy books. He has rich clinical experience in NHS hospitals in the United Kingdom (1990-1993) and in Greece (1999-present), in the entire range of clinical areas of physiotherapy. He has many years of teaching at the Physiotherapy Schools of the Universities of Thessaly and West Attica (1996-2007) and as a professor of physiotherapy at Athens Metropolitan College, collaborating with the University of East London and Queen Margaret University (2014-2017). He has been a research associate of the Medical School of the University of Athens since 2009, in two postgraduate programs. He is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists and has been a member of 'The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy', 'The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine' and 'HCPC State registered Physiotherapist' in the United Kingdom. He has served as president of scientific conferences, vice president and member of the Hellenic Society for Wound Healing, member of committees of scientific conferences in Greece and abroad and member of the editorial board of scientific journals ("Physiotherapy Issues", "The International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds" and "Healthy and Research Journal"). He has been included in the international 'WHO's WHO' list and in the 'TOP 100 PROFESSIONALS HEALTHCARE' in the field of physiotherapy, while he has participated as an invited speaker in numerous scientific conferences in Greece and abroad.

Ο Δρ. Εμμανουήλ Παπαδόπουλος, είναι Αναπληρωτής Καθηγητής και συντονιστής του προγράμματος BSc Φυσικοθεραπείας, Τμήμα Επιστημών Ζωής και Υγείας, Σχολή Επιστημών Υγείας, στο Πανεπιστήμιο Frederick, Λεμεσός, Κύπρος, ενώ είναι και συντονιστής δύο μαθημάτων στο Εξ αποστάσεως μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα «Επιστημών Αθλητισμού Άσκησης και Υγείας». Κατέχει πτυχίο Φυσικοθεραπείας (1989) ΠΑ.Δ.Α, μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο MSc in Rehabilitation από το University of Southampton (1994) και διδακτορικό δίπλωμα στη Φυσιολογία της Άσκησης και Αθλιατρική (2006) από το Εθνικό και Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Είναι μόνιμος φυσικοθεραπευτής και Προϊστάμενος του Τμήματος Φυσικοθεραπείας στο Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Αθηνών Ευαγγελισμός από το 1999, με πλούσιο κλινικό, εκπαιδευτικό και επιστημονικό. Έχει στο ενεργητικό του σημαντικό αριθμό επιστημονικών δημοσιεύσεων, σε έγκριτα διεθνή περιοδικά, με πλήθος ετεραναφορών. Είναι συγγραφέας ενός βιβλίου αποκατάστασης και πολλών κεφαλαίων σε βιβλία ιατρικής και φυσικοθεραπείας. Έχει πλούσια κλινική εμπειρία σε νοσοκομεία του NHS στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο (1990-1993) και στην Ελλάδα (1999-σήμερα), σε όλο το φάσμα των κλινικών τομέων της φυσικοθεραπείας. Διαθέτει πολυετή διδακτική στις Σχολές Φυσικοθεραπείας των Πανεπιστημίων Θεσσαλίας και Δυτικής Αττικής (1996-2007) και ως καθηγητής φυσικοθεραπείας στο Athens Metropolitan College, συνεργαζόμενο με το University of East London και το Queen Margaret University (2014-2017). Είναι επιστημονικός συνεργάτης της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών από το 2009, σε δύο μεταπτυχιακά προγράμματα. Είναι μέλος του Πανελλήνιου Συλλόγου Φυσικοθεραπευτών και έχει διατελέσει μέλος της 'The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy', 'The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine' και 'HCPC State registered Physiotherapist' στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο. Έχει συμπεριληφθεί στη διεθνή λίστα 'WHO’s WHO' και στους 'TOP 100 PROFESSIONALS HEALTHCARE' στον τομέα της φυσικοθεραπείας, ενώ έχει συμμετάσχει ως προσκεκλημένος ομιλητής σε πλήθος επιστημονικών συνεδρίων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό.
